This is a case study of a 68 year old male who had been taking Simvastatin for over two years.

Primary Complaints:

  • Abdominal gas and bloating
  • Depression
  • High Cholesterol

  • Fasting glucose and A1C came down into normal range.
  • Lipid profile, including total, HDL, LDL and VLDL cholesterol improved (without statin medication)
  • Coronary risk has been reduced

  • Platelets coming up
  • Creatine Kinase (an indicator for the muscle breakdown common in statin use) has begun to come down

All results are in the absence of statin use.
